John Harrower - Scottish Folk Music - Live at the Parklands Centre, Alva (Video)

In December 2007, John performed for charity entertaining the elderly of his hometown. John's song choice on the night was a blend of Scottish traditional folk music that his audience would be able to relate to. Even with a faulty guitar, John put on a fine performance that was the talk of the town for a long time afterward.

The following video is an unedited showcase of John performing Scottish music at his very best.

Song list: Bonnie Dundee, Killiecrankie, Ae Fond Kiss, Wild Mountain Thyme, Nancy Whisky

New-style Scottish Music (Audio)

I've decided to put up the following recording of a very experimental genre of music where I'm taking some traditional music and applying some modern touches to create a new style of music that perhaps hasn't been attempted before. The first of these recordings is a re-make of "Flower Of Scotland" and "Wild Mountain Thyme". I particularly like the way the latter turned out. For these recordings I have combined many recorded and digital instruments to create a modern recording of this old fold song.

Flower Of Scotland

Wild Mountain Thyme (Will ye go, Lassie go)
